I’ve always felt one of the quickest, easiest ways to decorate is with throw pillows. They are lightweight, come in all sorts of colors, fabrics and patterns and relatively inexpensive. They can be used in chairs and sofas in living rooms, in bedrooms, and even on outdoor furniture.

Sure, it’s great to get that new wing-back chair, or four-poster bed, but if those aren’t in your plans or budget right now, I say break out the pillows!

Consider this: throw pillows are easy to change from season to season. Florals and pastels for spring and summer can easily be replaced by the deeper shades of fall.

You can use pillows to decorate for holidays such as Christmas or Easter. And storing the ones you aren’t using is easy. I put mine away in a plastic bin…again, light weight and they don’t take up too much space.
