2022 seemed to make its way through like a speeding bullet train. And then, all of a sudden we arrive at the 2023 station. How time can go so quickly, I never will quite figure out. But here we are with a fresh, new year and regardless of crazy world events, I still find myself with a renewed hope. 

I think the word “NEW” carries the feeling of excitement with it. If you’ve ever bought a new car, made a new friend, adopted a new pet or held a new baby, you know what I’m talking about. There’s a giddy, celebratory excitement at the prospect of something new. 

While many of us will face challenges, both personal and global in this upcoming year, I’d like to think that we will all get to feel that special feeling of newness as well. It can be so easy to get weighed down by the pressures of life, but my New Year’s wish for everyone is that they find joy in something new to you. Whether it be a life-changing event such as a new job, or a new home; or the simple pleasure of a new book to read or a new recipe to try, let it muster up the spirit of all that is cheerful, blissful and happy for you.
