Collaborations by Women: Part 3
Let’s face it; owning and operating your own small business is, for anyone, filled with peaks and valleys, fabulous successes and frightening challenges. And truthfully, statistics show that it can be even more difficult for women due to a number of circumstances and social perceptions. That’s why, during National Women’s History Month, it’s been so important to me to highlight the women around me who have contributed to the success of Golden Hill Studio.
Today, I re-introduce to you, Sarah. While Sarah has popped up in my blogs before, I want to concentrate today on her invaluable contributions to GHS. While I continue to design our glassware patterns, much of this is done with the input of Sarah, who is a creative, “right-brained” genius, in my opinion.
In addition to her input, Sarah now has the responsibility of almost all the hand painting that goes on in our studio. She has been with me for fourteen years now, and the design and production of our product, and the accuracy of our art can both be directly linked to her methodical approach and attention to detail. And to top it off, Sarah is one of the sweetest young women I’ve ever had the privilege of working with!
