Spring Décor Ideas
After a long winter, there’s nothing I love more than to see daffodils and hyacinths popping up outside. Buds turning the trees to that fuzzy yellowish green color that only happens in the spring. Robins and bluebirds dotting the tree limbs and chirping me awake so early in the morning.
Luckily, Mother Nature takes care of all these things for me, but when it comes to inside my house, it’s another story. I love to update my interior for spring, but sometimes it can seem overwhelming. But I’ve learned that on the rare occasions where I find myself with a lot of extra time, that’s when I can attack the big things (renovations, new furniture etc.). Most of the time, I only have little snippets of time, but I’ve also learned that there are wonderful decor options that don’t take long at all!
Painting a room can seem like a daunting task. But in reality, it doesn’t have to take more than a weekend, or even one weekend day. But it does help to find a block of time that you don’t have to commit to anything else. Honestly, clearing the room, putting out drop cloths, taping and edging will take up 90% of your time. But you get to save the best for last. Grab that roller, a bright spring color and freshen up your kitchen, living room or bedroom.
How to Paint Your Walls Like a Pro (The Spruce)
Swap out darker pieces for lighter ones. For example, if your nightstand, or coffee table is a darker wood, replace with a lighter color, or paint over the ones you already have. Likewise, while it may not be the time to purchase a new sofa, it’s amazing what a pretty slip cover can accomplish!

Even these seem a little too time consuming? Simply exchange throw pillows on your beds, chairs and/or couches. Or place greenery and flowers (fresh or artificial) on side tables, hutches and mantels for a touch of spring in every corner of your home!
