Love your Lemons

Love your Lemons

Today, July 23rd, is National Lemon Day, according to the National Day Calendar. What’s so great about lemons you ask? Well, just about everything. As most of you know, lemons are a zesty citrus fruit that are a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants. So to begin with, including lemon in your diet is good for you. And lucky for us, lemons are one of the most versatile fruits around. Lemons garnish cocktails, make great marinades for meats like chicken and fish and provide a base for numerous yummy desserts. For some tasty inspiration, check out these recipes:

There’s no mistaking the fresh, clean scent of lemons, which is why it’s also used in numerous products such as dish detergent, hand soap, multi-surface cleaners and lots of other household products.

And it doesn’t end there. Lemons are all over home décor these days. Coasters, oven mitts, wine glasses, flower vases and more. It’s hard to walk into any type of home goods store and NOT find crafts and decorations with lemons on them. I personally love this trend. Lemons are sunny and fun and cheery and will brighten up just about any space from the kitchen to the bathroom.
