Independence Day
The 4th of July is typically a festive time of year. We celebrate our independence and freedom, and hopefully take a moment to be thankful that we live in a country where both those ideals are still valued.
Everyone celebrates the holiday with their own traditions; parades, fireworks, barbecue’s and more. In recent years I’ve spent the holiday with friends. We typically cook something on the grill, weather permitting, and then play “Wacky Croquet”. This is our own version of the popular lawn game; instead of setting up the wickets in the traditional pattern, we create a new obstacle course each year. We never remember who wins, but we always have a lot of fun!
This year, I’m also excited to share Golden Hill Studio’s new Patriotic Collection of glassware. This has been a labor of love and I’m thrilled that it’s finally complete! While it’s perfect for the 4th of July, it works for Memorial Day, Veterans Day and every day in between.
