2025 Home Décor Trends

2025 Home Décor Trends

I’m always intrigued by home décor and what’s “in” in any given year. Of course, this being the beginning of a brand new year, I’ve been scanning and browsing to see what fun new ideas (or recycled old ideas) are trending for 2025.

There are numerous articles and blogs about the top decorating ideas for 2025. You could honestly read for hours if you wanted to about area rugs, lighting, or traditional vs. contemporary furniture. But what I was really curious about were trends that might have some staying power. In other words, not a look that next New Year’s Day you will cringe at and want to change all over again.

In my opinion, there are two that caught my eye:

Color Drenching:

The basis of color drenching is using the same color for all walls, perhaps the ceiling and floor, and even the furniture. Of course this doesn’t have to mean monochrome, but using shades of the same color throughout can have a fresh, timeless look. For more detailed explanations of color drenching I recommend the articles below:

Earth Tones & Natural Materials:

Earth tones are in as well as using natural materials for interior spaces. Think soft, mossy green furniture in a room divided by rustic wood beams; or shades of gray paint highlighted by a stone accent wall. Many of us crave the outdoors and this is a great way to bring your favorite outdoor elements, inside. You can find out more about this design trend in the following articles:

Whether you are building or renovating a new home, or just want to freshen up a small bathroom in your existing home, consider how color and texture make you feel and whether some of the above mentioned décor ideas might work for you in the New Year!
